Hi Guys

I currently have a 680L (180cm x 60cm x 60cm) glass aquarium being built. This aquarium is coming with an aluminum frame stand. (stand is 70cm in height)

The aquarium will be in a corner, so only the right side and the front will be visible. I will be keeping my canister filters and equipment under the tank on one side, and using the other side to store other things (I live in a small apt, so try to keep as much storage space as possible.) I would like to keep the cover as simple as possible.

I wasn't sure how to attach wood to aluminum to make cupboard doors? I was thinking along those lines.

Any other ideas or your experience on this would be much appreciated. Maybe someone has a much better idea?

Thanks

You can use cabinet magnets from the hardware store. I have a wood stand, but skinned it with plywood panels to make them removable to allow the stand to be able to slide between a doorway. I used strong magnets to attach the panels to the wood stand. You will need to screw the magnets to the aluminum stand though. Or maybe find a way to clamp them around the aluminum if you don't want to drill into the stand.
