Cover for the Heater

Starting a 3rd tank without a sump.( Ray pups are do in 4 to 6 weeks) Using a canister filter. I will be using a submersible heater in the aquarium. What kind of cover do I use to protect the rays from getting a burn.

you can make a cover using plastic gutter guard or even pvc with cuts in it
