Looking for ideas on covering an indoor pond, yet still have some visibilty to view the fish.. Currently I'm using fiberglass screening, it works but unable to see my Aro.. He's a good 2' and if the light startles him in the room, he goes airborne....

What are you guys using?

i wanted to get an aro but was afraid of the jumping but didnt want to cover my pond so i was thinking of putting retractable poles at the 4 corners and vertically putting up the "bird" netting they put over outdoor ponds for when im not viewing the pond, not sure if it would work, but it was my idea

How about using a wooden frame with a sheet of stretched clear visqueen?

Visqueen is just clear plastic sheeting. If you are building a frame, some thin(1/8") rigid plastic will work good. You could even bow the middle of it slightly so condensation drips back into the pond.

I agree with the wood framing but also plexi glass seems like it would be a good option and maybe hinge it to the wood frame so you can just lift it as a lid

Good shout on that Muske.
