Sorry DM, I couldn't think of anything better to call it...haha.

I've been workin and planning this for several months now. It was a pain finding the fish, gettin things organized and stuff like that, but I finally was able to pull it all together. Setting up the tanks, gettin the filters made and running, and gettin it all cycled was the most frustrating and time consuming thing, but FINALLY its all done!! The feeling of accomplishment is very rewarding to say the least. NOW all I have to do is go and pick up my fish....which I am doing this week. Can't wait.

Here are some pictures of my wet/dry I made myself. Got the 10gal at Walmart, got most of the supplies and braces at Lowes, filter sponges and other stuff I got at Walmart as well. Home made! Very kewl. I need to get a better drip plate though cuz its not dispersing over all the sponges. Anywho, :woot:

kewl man...you need to put some live hanging plants out of the top of the top tank...they will grow a root system in the tank and the follige will hang down and give it an overall nice look:thumbsup:
 
Yeah, I was wanting to do watersprite, but I've got to order some if i want it. My big issue/concern is the over flow PVC pipes, don't want the floatin plants to get sucked down. Workin on gettin some stuff, driftwood, java fern, chain swords if i can find them, and water sprite for now. There is NO lightin on my tanks, its in a sun room though...haha. I need to get some lids for the tanks too. Don't want the babies jumpin out. I've got some eggcrate, but it doesn't fit horribly snug.

Not what I was talking about...I have a few tank with IVY in it...you place the roots hanging in the tank and the vines will grow down your stand toward the floor...at the same time the roots in the tank provide cover for the fish and look good too.:thumbsup:
 
OOOOH!!! NICE!! Never really woulda thought of that. How do i do it? Just put the roots in the tank? Hmmm...interesting. It won't harm the fish? Like no toxins or anything? I know where some ivy is....maybe i could go pick some. Is there any specific type? Thankz man!

NOT SURE WHAT ITS CALLED,BUT LOOKS LIKE THIS STUFF:

YOU CAN GET IT AT MOST STORES THAT SELL HANGING BASKETS...SIMPLY TAKE IT OUT AND RINSE THE ROOTS ECT... AND PUT THE ROOT SECTION IN THE TANK...YOU CAN TIE IT TO A FILTER,BUT IT HAS NATURAL BENDS AND WILL USUALLY JUST HANG IN THERE...IF YOU HAVE ANY LIGHT ON IT ...GROWS LIKE A WEED AND LOOKS AWESOME...DOESNT HARM FISH...ACTUALLY WILL ABSORB TOXINS ECT FROM YOUR WATER TO USE AS FOOD.
