Just a quick question.....

I recently purchased a CPR-CR200 and converted it into an over-head filter. I am using it just like your normal wet/dry, but I am pumping water up to it, and using the 3/4 bulkhead to drain back into my tank.

My only question is this. Am I better off using my cell-pore and Eheim(whatever their ceramic rings are called), or should I just leave the Bio-Bale material in there? I assume the Cell-Pore and rings are better, but figured I'd run it through here anyway. Maybe I'll buy a few 9x9x4 blocks of the cell-pore and use the bale above that. I currently have about a 5 gallon bucket of a combination of cell-pore cubes and Eheim's rings. I suppose I could just dump them in there.....

Thanks,
Chris

I've been using a CPR with bio-bale on my 180 for over a year now with no problems. Seems to be a good bio media to me. If you are using the wet dry above your tank then very little of the bio-media is probably submerged. I would just keep using bio-bale only, or very little cell-pore in the very bottom. I'm under the impression that bio-bale works better than cell-pore in a non submerged application.
