Here's some pics of my creni. lepidota. I have 3 of them. 2 are about 3 inches long, and are in my 125g SA/CA community tank. They are the slow growers of the group.

The 3rd lepidota has been growing like a weed. About 5 inches, maybe 5.5 inches long. Growing very fast, very fat, and very colorful I'm inclined to think its a male, given the coloration and growth rate. Any idea's?

Very nice! I've been thinking about buying a pike myself.

Greentree pets has a small group of venezuelan pikes if you want to make the drive down here :naughty:.

I'm almost positive this guy is a male. I think that the larger of the other two is a female, as its starter to show a faint white stripe down the dorsal fin, as well as getting a nice rosy blush across its stomach area. Can't really get clear pics of that one though.

* First 4 pics are of the big male (5-6" already). Last 2 pics are of the suspected female (about 3.5-4" now).

Females won't have the spangles in the Dorsal fin either in most cases :)

Well that first one is for sure male, I guess. I don't see hardly any spangles on the little (apparent) female, and none in the dorsal fin. Plus the white stripe and the pink belly... hopefully I'll get a pair out of them :D.
