I'm considering getting a pair of minuano from Ken Davis (fishfarm)
The only tank they could go in is a 75 which currently has a 6 inch male green terror in it. Are they likely to coexist? The pikes would be 4-5 inches.
I was originally looking for a dwarf pike for a planted 29, but these are the only ones he has, and they get a bit too big for that tank.

Minuano that I have seen are not pushovers. It will depend on the size and aggression of the terror IMHO. Are the ones you are thinking about getting from ken wild or tank raised?

Wild. I have read that minuano are very peaceful relative to other pikes. The GT has not had any cichlid tankmates; it ignores what it does share the tank with though.

I got a pair from a member of my local club a month ago. They are a little aggressive, but not like some of the others I keep. I agree with BigPic, it all depends on the attitudes of the individual fish. You should make sure you have a back-up plan (spare tank) just in case.

Here is a photo of my male C. minuano 'Cuareim'

Nice shot Maddog, I almost brought home a grown pair of Minuano when I came home from Uruguay, just ran out of room!

the problem would probably keeping the 2 pikes together

There shouldn't be any troubles keeping them together. I have a pair from Ken that get along great in a 72g. No issues at all. Mine are kept with gymno's. They might work for a little while with the GT, but probably not long term. They are not aggressive at all. I'm sure they would eat a tetra or any really small fish, but they don't mess with my gymno's or Dimmerus in the tank with them. They are very active and look real nice. Mine have pink on top of there dorsal fins and all of there fins are a nice golden yellow color.

Minuano are peaceful as far as pikes go, I brought 18 back from Uruguay, 9 pairs, all went into the same tank, I have 3 pairs left, same tank, no aggression, they co-exist fine with other fish . They would eat something tiny like a tetra or guppy, but otherwise ignore any other fish, I feed them Xtreme pellets, frozen bloodworms and earthworms. As long as thr GT is not real large they should be fine together. Ken

I'm sold

If it doesn't work out, they can live in my planted 29 for a bit
