Crab Vs Temple plant

So I bought a lot of new temple plants and planted them in the back of the tank.
But now this freshwater crab I have (if some of you remember, I kept it lol) has taken a liking for its roots. Only those,,, for now.
But since it has been only half an hour after adding and he started to have a go at them, would he eat the leaves?

Also, as these plants are said to be feast growers would it be alright or should I remove the crab?

Nvm, removed the crab finally.

Was eating an uprooted plant when I came back to check.

Sorry about your munched plants! I'd love to have some crabs or crays, but I just can't handle my plants getting trashed. ? Hope the crab is happy with his relocation.
