I just added a piece of live rock to my girlfriends tank, and when I was unpacking the box there was a 1.5-2" crab in the box. My questions are will he be safe with the fish ( 1" dwarf lionfish, 3" gobie, and 4" porcupine puffer). I am not worried about the puffer as he might just eat the crab, but will the crab try to eat the other 2 fish. Also will he be safe with the soft corals and sponges?

Your fish should be fine. Do you have pics? Most crabs are scavengers. There are a few predatory crabs but its unlikely that you have one. If you post pics someone will be able to ID it.

There are some nasty crabs that come with atlantic live rock. Yrs ago I had Atlantic uncured and the crabs were killers killed each other and the snails.

Ofcourse no fish in the tank while it was curing but they went from 1 inch crabs to 2 inches of nasty mean killer's in 60 days .

Had 2 left after they killed the other crabs caught them gave them away to pet store. I don't anything about crab's but take pic post it other's here can tell you if good or not.
