You see I bought this new 100 gallon tank for 100$ but it has this crack on the side wall. It doesn't leak or has any problems because I saw the tank with full water and fish inside. He said he previous owner didn't have a big deal with it nor did he. I want to be more on the cautious side, is there anything i can use to fill up the crack or at least seal it because i fear as my fish get bigger they will ram the sidewall and make matters worse.

Do what Zander said, ive fixed many this way. Or you could do a total repair and cut that pane out and silicone a new one in.

I wonder if you called a windshield glass repair place? I know they came out and fixed a crack in my tempered glass windshield that was about 3" long.

how big of a glass do you recommend? like just enough to cover the crack or should it be a lot bigger?
It wouldnt hurt to go ahead and cut it to the exact inside dimensions of the pane you are replacing, just be sure to allow about 1/16" play room to get it positioned right. You could do it just a few inches bigger than the crack, but the larger the piece the more it will support that weakened side.:)

I would put it on the inside of the tank.

definitely on the inside. And best is to make it as big as possible, maybe just 1/2" smaller than the cracked pane.Nice thin even coat of silicone on the whole pane and lay the tank up on its end so you can put a few books or something on it while it cures.
