ok I have a 29 gallon tank and it has a crack on the bottom of the tank going down the middle the width way. the tank still holds water and doesnt leak my question is how do I go about fixing the crack?

I had the same issue and I just put a matching pane on the bottom side of the glass with a watertight seal. and then siliconed the crack. but i doubt this is the best way to go. I would recommend having it professionally fixed and have it removed and put in a new pane.

drain the water...let the tank dry.
get some aquarium silicone...and cover the crack with it...
let it sit for a week and fill it back up

or even harder go get a new pane of glass, peel the silicone out of all the corners that connect it, acetone all edges adjacent to the glass that is cracked ensuring there is no silicone left....then slowly and steadily silicone the new glass pane to all edges of the aquarium let it sit for 1 week...water test it

drain the water...let the tank dry.
get some aquarium silicone...and cover the crack with it...
let it sit for a week and fill it back up

^I would do that. 29 gallon is a pretty small tank, so anymore effort than that wouldn't really be worth it IMO - just wait for the next $ per gallon sale, spend 29$ for a brand new one.
