CRACK - Is this a problem?

Hello,

I just took my 150G out of storage and I found it had a crack. I plan on resealing the tank since it's been a while since last used.

But do I have to worry about this crack on the casing? My tank is glass. Not sure if that matters. I thought I'd ask before I load it up with water and stock.

I’d swap it out. You can usually buy the braces cheap. If not remove it and eurobrace it. I have seen tanks fail from broken frames often associated but not limited to the centre cross brace.

Yep get yourself a new frame or fashion a diy glass eurobrace. That cracked frame is ineffective and tank unstable.

Wait. the link you sent me for custom frames don't do 24" wide tanks. Does Anyone know a contact I could buy a 24" x 48" frame? I'm in Canada but I'll import from the US if needed

Try googling aqueon or aquarium manufacturers. Find a free tank that has glass that's 24in and eurobrace it.

You can fill up that tank... if you want it to explode later. The plastic frame is structural and keeps the tank together.
