I just took my 125 gallon tank (glass) out of storage in order to set it up in the living room. After getting the tank on the stand and examining it i noticed a crack in the plastic trim (bottom side right front corner on the vertical face of the trim piece). The crack is about 3/4 in. along the vertical face only...it does not extend to the underside. Could this cause a structural probleme with the tank, i.e how much support does the plastic provide to the tank?

Tough call on that one. I'd say depends on manufacturer. The silicon is the main thing holding it together, but the manufacture might skimp on the goo when its in a frame like that.

Personally, while you have it taken down, I'd suppliment or strip and totally re-goo the bottom with enough to hold it. You can buy aquariums with no frames at all...just the silicon keeping it together so I'd say you can keep using it if you took steps to reinforce it.
