I have a cracked 180gallon glass tank. The crack is in the bottom glass. It goes from the back center to the front right side of the bottom of the tank. Can I just sealicone the crack or do I just need to replace the glass. If replacing how much would the peice be it 3/4 in thick

Hello...

Man, sorry, but there's nothing that will hold that crack together. It will open up like an old zipper once you start filling it.

Not sure of the cost for a piece of glass...it will depend on the size of course. 3/4" is going to be pricey.

Sorry man, good luck...

Bummer. You need a new tank.

Does the tank have a frame around it ? If it does not then you really wouldnt need to use 3/4 glass you could use a thinner glass as long as the tank would be fully supported along the bottom. (placed on a flat level surface with some foam underneath)

That's almost 1500 pounds of water on that glass, and there's only that glass between you and that much water in your house... I would just sell it to a reptile guy and buy a new (and bigger! :) ) tank. Sorry bro.
