I have a 2215 canister and the can cracked. I was wondering if I epoxied the crack if it would be fine and not leak. Or else the part is $35 + shipping. I would think that epoxy would hold but would like to have some other thoughts.

try it and see if it works... either it will or it wont.... i dont see why it wouldnt hold though
Since the crack goes all the way to the opening, I don't think epoxy will hold. The top will want to force the crack open when it is put on and clamped.
But give it a shot and see what happens.

I wouldnt risk repairing it, but I would keep an eye on the likes of Ebay and see if you can find another can for it and keep it as a spare.
