Just picked up a 55G acrylic with a HUGE crack in the front and on on the back. I cant take pictures as my explaining skills suck.
How do I fix it? Can I just use acrylic cement?
I dont need it to hold water, as I'm going to be putting a reptile in it.
Any help is appreciated:nilly:.

Also, its missing the "top" like most acrylics have.
How can I fix that? Just buy pieces of acrylic and use #16 sealant ?

maybe u SHOULD vs. just telling us..

pictures solves alot of things..

Were you planning on putting Weld-on 16 inside the crack or using an acrylic strip to reinforce the crack? Since its just for reptiles I would recommend using Weld-on #4 (i believe thats the #). Its a liquid sealant that comes in a bottle with a needle at the end. The liquid drips out of the needle and will go straight into the crack. It will harden in a few seconds and should do the trick. As for the top, just buy some acrylic pieces and use Weld-on #16, thats the easiest way. Good luck.
