hi guys i am currently building a 130 gallon plywood tank. i have it all finished and started my water test today and i found i have three small hairline cracks on one of the edges of my acrylic overflow wall that i made. the cracks are running perpendicular to the bend and are about one inch long. what is the best way to repair it?
my first though was to stop drill the cracks so they don't spread then fill them with silicone. my next thought was to buy some "weld on" solvent and do the stop drill then fill with weld on but that stuff is expensive to ship and i don't know where to get some locally. my last option is to just replace the wall all together.
so what do you think i should do? this is just an overflow wall and it is made from 1/4 inch acrylic and in all reality the cracks being there would only cause a problem if i were to loose power for several days but since the tank is still in testing phase now is the time to fix it.
