I was at my LFS and saw they recently got in a group of 3 in. banjo cat, not having a banjo in years I bought the funniest looking one and brought him home. After doing more research he seems to be a craggy banjo cat (thanks planetcatfish). He had a concave stomach so I put him in a specimen container with some thawed bloodworms. Just wanna know what you guys think, if there are any other banjo cat keepers, and if I ID'd him correctly as a craggy banjo cat. Thanks,
-Jack

Wow. Very cool find there. That's the first time I seem that type but I bet he's just as hardy as the rest. I'm keeping eel tail banjos at the moment but I wouldn't mind these. Good luck bro.

I love the tank in your second picture and your cats. what's that blue fish in the background? An Apistograma?

Thanks. The blue guy is a electric blue ram. It's actually a older photo and that guys in another tank now. I keep them with a Betta and a few balloon rainbows now. Can you share a in tank photo? Would like to see a full body shot please. I been around the local lfs and haven't seen any of those around.

That guy looks cool! I just picked up a trio of reg lil' banjos not long ago myself.. they love live blackworms and one goes nutterz for NLS thera A micro pellets! love the eel tails but the only time I saw one for sale locally they wanted 60-90$ for it iir. Fun lil' oddball for my community tank for sure! At night they will swim around but during the day its kinda cute seeing just their lil' faces peeking out of the sand. reminds me of lil' bichirs when they do it!

looks like a craggy, cool cat none the less

Unfortunately he chose to hide among a piece of driftwood so it's only a head shot. Also, please excuse my lack of picture skills ;)IMG_2144.JPGIMG_2147.JPGIMG_2145.JPG
And because he came out to say hi to the camera, here's a picture of my tank raised dolphin fish, he's only about an inch long but by far one of the coolest fish behavior-wise I've ever ownedIMG_2148.JPG

Monster mini: nice pick up. Those are acting bicher like lol.

Felix: I like the setup. He looks pretty comfortable hiding there behind Buddah. Does he come out to eat? I miss having a community, good variety. Does that dolphin eat flake? You said 1.5" that's tiny.

Ive actually been feeding him with a pair of tongs I have to make sure he gets enough bloodworms so he just hangs around one place most of the day. The dolphin also eats bloodworms but Im hoping he might start to take flake after a little while
