I just went by a LFS and bought 2 'craig plant' and the guy at the store didnt know much about them.
do they do well submerged being they are a bog plant? anything else i should know about them. i figure worst comes to worst, i'll feed my apple snails for $4.

Not sure but as i know Bog plants grow on the surface of the water i did a report of differant types of wetlands and bog plants grow ontop of the water really weird.

Note: there are 2 plants and both are floating on their side.

Not aquatic....

I would plant them in a pot!(with soil of course)

well i plnted one in soil and the other in my tank, going to see what happens. so far they seem snail and pleco proof. neither have tried to eat it.

Keep the leaves on the one you planted in soil moist for a bit or it will shrivel up and die!
