Craigslist 220 gallon for $350 has it sat to long?

I found an ad for a 220 gallon and he was asking 500. I talked him down to 350. The tank has been sitting empty for 9 years because he didn't have the time to set up. Will the silicone seal still be ok? Ive read that if the seal sits dry then its not good for it but is that true?

it might depend on the temperature in which the tank sat. also, tell him to fill it up and test it.

Go check it out and see whats up.You can always reseal it.

Resealing is super easy, I would ask him to fill it up and if it had a few tiny leaks see if he will drop the price a little more.
