Crappie feeding

I got a crappie, it's pretty sweet. I heard they're finicky but what do you guys feed yours?

They generally like live foods, you can get them trained onto frozen foods usually, mine eats both live and frozen but it took a little bit to get it to be that way

Okay ill see if i can eventually get him on pellets but for now itll be mosquito fish.

As far as pellets, mine will only eat hakari carnivore sticks. I used freeze dried shrimp and krill for the transition.

I have the carnivore pellets and hopefully he'll follow the other fish

My crappie destroys freeze dried shrimp but his favorite food are live crickets and live mealworms.
