Crappie

I caught 5 crappie about 2 months ago maybe like 1 I don't remember exactly but they're all healthy and they're eating worms out of my hands already. But 4 of them are super black and the other one not so much. From what I've read there's only black in the reservoir that I caught them in. They're also the only crappie I've ever caught so I can't really say it's black or white. It was also hard to get a picture that the green sunfish didn't photo bomb lol

White has 5-6 dorsal spines those look like blacks

Yup, those are both blacks.

I thought so but its just weird how differently it's colored compared to the others

Could be linked to dominance or its stressed out. Also in the wild before crappies spawn I believe its the females that get jet black
