The bad news is that she doesn't release them all at once. So to keep her from eating them give the babies a place to hide, a layer or two of marbles over a bare bottom will do this and feeding the mom heavy on earth worms will keep her from being all that serious about eating her young. When she has released all her young she should be removed. The babies will need lots of hiding places as they will eat each other too. chopped or minced earth worms are good food for the babies as are baby brine shrimp or daphnia. Cyclopseze will also work.
