crawfishes trying to breed:)

today, i caught my orange and white lobster getting it on...:grinno: anyway, i wonder whether two different colored crawfishes can produce offspring:D

Oh, I've done that combination before a few times. I ended up with offspring that looked like both parents and then a few that were more a creamsicle color. Then there was a smaller number that reverted back to a natural coloration, that was actually pretty interesting... not pretty, but interesting.
 
Only the female, the male will eat the eggs and offspring. It doesn't need to be a 10g, but she does need to be separate from the male. You can move her back in with him after she's dropped the offspring from her tail (she'll eat her babies if you keep them together too long after their moving around on their own).
