Cray fish in 20gallon

Hi I have a 20 gallon fish tank, its one of those eclipse systems. I was thinking of getting a crayfish for it, I just don't want him escaping!

Heres a picture of it currently, has a few feeder fish in it currently, but they won't be there for long. Do you think it can climb up the filter tube? What if I cut the green portion of the tube to give me a few more inches, you think it will be high enough to keep him from trying to escape?

The tall green plant I will trim down as well.

Crayfish not like crab that like to climb up and escape the tank, i have few crayfish before and none of them try to escape but my red claw crab is always find away to get out until 1 day I couldn't find him anywhere and found him dried out in 1 of the dark corner after months later when I moved to new home LOL

Oh yes they do.
You should cover the tank anyway.

Well I picked one up. I rearranged the Tank a little, shortened the fake plant ans moved it away from the filter.

I tapped off the hole for the wires, luckily the eclipse system has a nice cover
