yesterday while moving around a few things in my cray tank, the cray got scared and started darting everywhere in the tank and ended up losing one of its claws, he lives with 4 other crays

there are a lot of hiding places in my tank

should i keep him alone till he grows a new claw or will he be able to fend for himself there

I its got a claw left it should be ok, i had a peknyi lose both claws and 2 legs a few weeks back and it died but as long as yours still has a claw it should be ok.

tank you synojack
anyways my cray is doing great as there are a lot hiding places and enuff food for everyone
but he was the ruler but now he has to hide from the next biggest cray as his arsenal has reduced

I bought my blue crayfish without a claw and he has molted twice since then and on the last one he grew back a claw

I used to keep a cray in with crabby patty, my red clawed crab. I decided to part with him because even with only one claw he was really terrible to her and I have had her in the tank for almost two years now (i have no idea how long these usually live for) and i didnt want that little monster to keep harrasing her. my sister has him in with her africans now, he is quite a bit more mellow for her. here some pics of her earlier this year. the little fiddler used to be a great buddy, however he became dinner.
