Crayfish and planted tank.

So I got 125G planted mostly anubias, java fern, water wisteria and lot of dwrifwood. I wanted to add 1 of each crayfish (red, blue, white and black) as bottom scavengers, I'm tired of catfish and loaches, here is the scoop: After some research I got mixed information that they will destroy all the plants in my tank, and some even RECOMMENDED to keep them in planted tank. Does anyone keep them in planted tank? or has good/bad experience with the combo? Thanks.

I guess you've found that crayfish are omnivores and will eat plants.

^^^^Yep hehehe. I got an ideal to setup a tank for them without its devour all my plants...gotta try it out

sounds like you have a nice looking tank. A lot of crays will also dig your plants out.

I'll post some videos when thing settle down (I still need to re-arrange my plants around), so far these crayfishes (2x white and 2x blue species) leave my plants alone, I keep them well fed with bloodworm, cut smelt, shrimp pellets, and 1 of the blue one already molted
