Crayfish as a staple food

Can I feed my 11" Red Devil crayfish?. Can I put them alive in the tank? I put a very nice Blue Crayfish in the tank and he ate her. I got some rocks and fake tree stumps that I thought were enough places for the crayfish to hide but apparently not.

you can feed crayfish, but I wouldn't do it as a staple, cost being one of the major reasons. They are fine occasional food though.

Yeah there great treats but i wouldn't use them as a staple even if you get them free from the wild dureing the winter you won't find any they are good food though but i would still use something else a good pellet is all ways recomended
