One of my hybrids attacked his brother after he molted, taking off a claw and all but one leg on one side. I saw the attack, it was pretty bad. He almost pulled back his soft skin, and pulled out two of his gills(looks like small hairy appendages).

At this moment i took him out and he's resting in a pitcher, along with his molt to help regrow his shell.

Anything else i should do? will he be alright with two of his gills pulled out?

The gills are still attached, just kinda hanging there were his legs use to be.

Please help, idk how much longer he has :(

Not much else you can do, just be sure to keep the water absolutely clean and give him a hide to reduce stress. They're tough critters; don't give up hope!

Bad luck man!
There is not a lot you can do unfortunately....

His only chance is that you removed him from the other guy!

Like said above.......keep the water clean & highly Oxygenated.
A hidy hole & keep pitcher/tub in a dark place.

He will probably have trouble getting to food or may not be able to move at all!!! You may have to hand feed so to speek.....

If you can keep him alive until next moult, there's a very good chance he'll fully recover.....but with that many missing body parts, it'll be a challenge.

What size is the cray??? He'll molt again quicker if he's a small/juvi

Good luck & hope it all goes well for you....

He seems to be doing good right now, i have him in a little brown pitcher. put some stress coat in there but I've changed the water with original tank water since then because it was starting to get cold.

i broke half an algae tab and put it in there but idk if they can eat with a soft claw(s)
Might start up a 10 gallon if i can find some filter pads for this old HOB.

Yabba, he's about 2.5" maybe 3" inches long, so it might be awhile till next molt.

Thanks for the support.

Have him in a 2.5 gallon tank i found.

He's back in the main tank with the rest, healthy. just missing afew limbs

He's actually more blue than the others, and bigger i think too.
i'll get you guys a pic tomorrow after i come home from lfs.
