Ok ...I've had this crayfish since it was little over 1/2 an inch long. Now shes about 4inches long, she recentley produce a clutch of eggs but ate them all shortly after.:screwy: I remember reading that crayfish can store sperm and i guess that holds true because shes has had no contact with any other crayfish since i bought her when she was 1/2inch long and she still produced eggs. My question is, is it possible for her to have another clutch of eggs even though there is no male present?

The female can produce eggs without a male or sperm. But, the eggs will not be fertile and viable without sperm.
Some crayfish can hold sperm for a long time and some can not....
Also, I have noticed that some crayfish females will eat their eggs when they are not fertile before they go bad.....

Thanks for the info........I guess my female must of produced infertile eggs or juss ate them because its her first try. Either way im probably just gonna try too find her a male.
