my blue crawdad is very active. he's always out and about. if i were you. i'd give idea of using a light and night and darkness during the day, a try. you got nothing to lose.

What else is in the tank? If he's worried about being eaten, he'll never come out.

Its him and another one. there close i size and also use a light during day and night??? that wht u ment

I used to have two of them in my 20 gallon long. I got them both about two or two and a half years ago. One died, but before that, neither one of them hid a lot. So I don't think the problem is tankmates, if his only other tankmate is a cray. I thought maybe if you had big scary fish he'd feel worried about being lunch LOL.

Well, you have to turn the lights out at some point. otherwise your putting your crays through sleep deprivation. all creatures need sleep. i thought you were trying to reverse his sleeping cycle to lure him out during the day.

I am reversing his cycle to bring him out to the day but wht u said didnt mae sense.

it was a typo on my part. i was trying to say that your idea makes sense and that you have nothing to lose. give it a try.
