The only crayfish farms that I can find are the ones that sell the big red ones. I think these might be a little too big for my fish to eat. Does anyone know of a crayfish farm that sells young ones?

My lfs's always have feeder cray's in stock, which are 2" long.

Fish stores sell them for quite a bit for a single crab. I want to buy them by the lbs to save money. I found bait sized crayfish for 3.99 per lbs, ~30 cray fish.

Now I just need to find out what the shipping will be and how that calculates to a per fish cost and compare that with the closest fish store that sells them which is a one-way 65 minute drive, 3 hours or my time, and 144 miles worth of gas.

If it were summer I could catch hundreds of them a day with a trap but that luxury is seasonal, and it is too cold now.

My LFS sells them for $1 each. A little pricey for fish food. I would try bulk like you said or another alternative for food

couldnt you just catch your own in the summer and then take the tails out, freeze them, and thaw em out to feed?

Yes a bait shop or N.A.S... but they only sale in bulk. Get a few friends to go in with you.
Just search NAS baits.
