I was at the lfs today and was looking at their yabbie lobsters. Most of them were amputees.

I was just wondering if crayfish could regenerate lost limbs and feelers? One just had half of his thumb on his main claw broken off, would that come back when he molted?

yes, crayfish will grow limbs back when they moult. That's why you can almost always find a cray with one claw bigger than the other.

I don't know if they can grow back little pieces of limbs though.

Thanks,

Do they grow the entire limb back in one moult?

BTW cool Red terror in your avatar! She would look great in with my big male.

Yes, they'll grow the entire limb back. It will be smaller than the same limb on the other side, but it will grow normally and will eventually be the same size as the other.

Thanks about the festae, I have 25 of them.
