Has anyone ever had any issues wth crayfish digging into or destroying the silicon in an aquarium. I am considering housing a few and want to make sure that i won't come home to a soaked floor. I know they climb can out via airlines from when I had them in a tank when I as younger. I don't recall them destroying anything though. Thanks.

None of mine have. I think you'll be fine.

as long as there isn't any dead fish smell in the silicone they could not care less. however, they may roll over on thier backs for weeks at a time during the spring to spawn i presume... all three of my 5 inch red crawfish are currently exhibiting this rather add behavior. the answer i guess is no, silicone is okay.

and they usually wont eat smaller fish either.... unless they are dead

Hmm depends though, I once had a cray that liked to mutilate the neon tetras in his tank. Funnily enough, there was this 1 cardinal tetra which he was friends with for quite long. I thought things would be okay. Then one day the cardinal gets ripped apart too
