I have a True Nile Bicher and I have had him for a year or better. Just recently he started to come out more and be more personable but now is starting to be a lil' "spooky". If I make any kind of sudden movement it tries to jump out and has hit the floor. I know for a fact that it's not tank size...heh,heh, and it's less than a foot long and water is perfect, it's fed well so whats the problem? It's tank mates are a Belly crawler pike and a Jack Dempsey & a Tilapia Buttikeforri and 1 Giant Fire eel! I suspected the butti but I watched it for awhile and thats not it. hmmm, I just want to know if this is "normal" behaviour?

Have you introduced new fish or feeders in the tank recently? How are your water parameters? Maybe the Jack or the Tilapia are giving him a hard time?

hmmmmm

Thank you. I have indeed checked the water params. and they all check out. So I think thats just it's nature. I say that cause my tanks are in my fish room and people don't walk infront of the tank regularly but me. So I found that if I wear a darker colored shirt that it doesnt stress out as much and is doing fine now.

would love to see pics :D nile bichir or p. bichir bichir are very difficult to come by in the states. where did you get it and how much?

hmm i actually doubt theres any p. bichir bichir in the states (at least when it comes to finding one at lfs or from suppliers). of course someone very rich can get one from japan or something.

its prob a lap, how many dorsal finlets?

Did the other fish take up all the hiding spots? How about lighting?
