I have mostly always had larger aquariums from 55-180gal and have never had this issue, but I have a 7.5 Gallon Bow Front Tank, very odd size, It was given to me, I wouldnt buy something like this.

I was curious if there are any Central or South American Cichlids (Not Africans) that could live in something this small?

Rams?
Apisto's?
Single Con?
Keyholes?

I cant think of many that stay small or dont require more space may have to go with a gourami or something.

Thanks!!:D

I didnt think so on the cichlids.......I had never heard of these peacock gudgeons but I am somewhat interested now after seeing some pics. Are these hard to find?

I see you're in MA...one of the Boston Aquarium Society members used to breed them regularly. I just checked the message board, but I didn't find any recent posts by the breeder. Ned (Uncle Ned's Fish Factory) carries them fairly often, as well.

You could post over on Ned's forum to ask if he can get them. I don't think he had any in when I was just there mid last week.

i don't really feel like any cichlid could fit into a tank that size. +1 for invertebrate tank
