Crazy High Speed Chase this morning!!

It was around 9am this morning when I was walking to the last bus stop before the George Washington Bridge as I do every morning...but this went quite differently. As I was walking, I heard a lot of sirens coming from different directions and that caught my attention. I looked around and saw multiple cops cars flooding the area of Fort Lee NJ where I was. And when I thought things died down...I was wrong! As I was walking down the sidwalk section of the ramp to get to the tolls to the bridge, I heard the sirens again coming from behind me. I turned around to look, and there was a red Pontiac Grand Prix hauling *** down the ramp! Luckily I got past the ramp ok, but this nut drives through a lot of cones that were on the ground blocking of a section before the tolls, and then flies through the tolls at about 70-75 MPH!!! I was like wow!!! I finally get on the bus and everyone was talking about it cause they saw the whole thing. Now theres traffic on the bridge, as we drove past the scene, the the car was stopped in the middle bridge with a lot of cop cars behind it!...I just found this news article posted just now:

When I got a look at him as he was speeding past me, I noticed this guy was on the phone while being chased with 2 cop cars on his tail!
I wonder who he was calling...
Probably a loved one to say goodbye!
Wow, what a way to get the blood going this morning!
 
my dad is a cop in Fort Lee, wonder if he was working

no.. i bet this guy is some secret agent, running away from the cops with government secrets....... ;)
 
Holy crap...:WTF:
He got the attention of the police and put everyone on the road's attention to commin suicide?

Committing suicide is crazy enough, and I feel for the guy... but still...putting everyone else's life in danger in the process is pointless...


I am still waiting to hear more about a similarly odd situation. Most of the kids from my neighborhood were out of school today because someone was supposedly hit by the F train.
 
wow, seems like a lot of people have been experiencing close calls with the trains lately! I always stand back on the platform when the trains approaching just to be safe!!!

yeah I wanna follow this story and find out why he was running in the first place...I feel like I was the last person to see this guy alive!
 
Wait , wait wait.... Did he get out of his car and THEN jump in the drink? or did he go out with the car Thelma & Louis style?

I believe he got out and jumped.
 
I couldn't get the second link. Apparently it started as a domestic voilence call, the guy had a fight with his wife. My dad said that he thought the guy jumped thinking he could make it down to the second tier, but the second is recessed so it was a straight drop to the river. He actually has footage of it.
