So for awhile now I was wondering has anyone run a tank only with plants as a cleaning source. I mean with no filters or circulation pumps just plants and fish. Also I don't me little tanks but big tanks. Is this even possible and maybe someone should try it ;)

There is something called a beaslbob build. From what I have seen, it is really ineffective, and if anything, detrimental to the fish.

You will have some current from the thermic differences inside the tank, but that will not be very much. It could work outside cause the temperature difference between day and night and with not much fish.

I wouldn't honestly, you'd still need to be doing water changes and all that anyways
plants like the flow that filters provide, and unless it was a big tank with an incredibly low bio-load and a decent amount of plants...but even then if a plant died it would cause havoc on the water most likely...I doubt its worth it unless it was like...a school of 20 neons in a 200 with nothing else...
