Crazy idea

I had an idea that's really crazy- here it goes. I have a 5.5" rotkeil Severum that is probably a female. I might move her to a 40 gallon tank with some tiger barbs and a cuckoo catfish. If I got a male would they breed? I could put some nice big slate in the tank for them to lay eggs on and raise the fry in a 10 gallon tank. Would it work?( plz no nasty comments)

i might but the catfish and barbs would eat the eggs at night... severum are good at taking care of the babies..

It might work but the fry will be eaton by the cukoo catfish not the barbs they wont be able to get close enough with out bein bit or eaton them self

Oh I forgot to add I'm gonna remove the eggs and let them hatch in a 10 gallon

well, a few drinks might speed up the process of getting with her

it's not an exact science, some fish will take to each other, some won't. it's all trial and error seeing if they take to each other.
