CRAZY JDM

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I mean it looks pretty impressive, but at the same time they all look pretty lifeless... wonder what its like during feeding times...

some places are saying that these are not true fish since they are too different and primitive..(hags and lampreys).

maybe they are one step above a lancelet?

Wow, that is pretty amazing.

At least a few of them have to be starving.

They need live fish which they suck blood from for food. Tough to maintain in aquaria but impressive nonetheless.

That wasn't JDM, was it? Looks like a food stock tank to me. Caption talks about lamprey pie. Lampreys were eaten like candy by natives around here.

Problem with the aquarium isn't feeding. They'll eat silversides and other meats and even steamed greens. The problem is their stupidly complex life cycle. They're worse than salmon, living the life of a freshwater flatworm for up to ten years or so (depends on species), then transforming, swimming out to sea for a time (again depends on species) and then heading back upstream while they morph again into spawning form to breed and die. Do that in the aquarium.

If I'm not wrong.....aren't for food??? most bass, Chanel cat and carp are kept like that
