That wasn't JDM, was it? Looks like a food stock tank to me. Caption talks about lamprey pie. Lampreys were eaten like candy by natives around here.
Problem with the aquarium isn't feeding. They'll eat silversides and other meats and even steamed greens. The problem is their stupidly complex life cycle. They're worse than salmon, living the life of a freshwater flatworm for up to ten years or so (depends on species), then transforming, swimming out to sea for a time (again depends on species) and then heading back upstream while they morph again into spawning form to breed and die. Do that in the aquarium.
