crazy kuhli loaches

2 of My kuhli loach keep swimming into the glass. just touxh their faces to it and keep swimming all around the glass. is this normal kuhli loach behavior? the only thing that could be the matter is i dont have an airator which i didnt think i needed. My temp is 76 i have a 40 gallon fluval filter, pea gravel, bunches of live plants, 5 kuhli loaches, 6 serpae tetra, and 5 ottos. thx

it's normal, especially when first introduced into the tank or when something changes like water changes. I think it's a feeding response triggered in nature by rain or weather changes but mine do the same thing.

This was a favorite hobby of a group of black kuhlis that I had. They originally only did it at night, but as they got bolder they did it at any time of day

Mine do it all the time same with my albino catfish.

Haha one of mine did it for awhile as well! Sadly it lost it doesnt do this anymore
