yes it happens quite often in the areas of south africa and northern vietnam. but you need to treat the tank with medication and herbs.
 
well I mean if the arowana dies, a cardinal tetra could pick at it and slowly consume it, while at the same time it would be decomposing, this would take at least a couple months, but the cardinal tetra probably couldn't live throughout the entire time because the water quality would get so horrible from the decomposing arrow that the cardinal tetra would probably die.....

In the end though, this is all very unrealistic.
 
o ok. thanks for the imput! after this tragedy I decided get another arowana because they are so awesome. i should be ok sticking it back in my 5 gallon right?
