Ok so I had a very large Oscar, Jack Dempsy, Pike, Electric Blue JD, Gold Severum and a Lima Shovel Nose. I up graded to a 110gal from a 75gal. I adopted a Black Belt, Salvani, Texas and a Managunse. So last night my salvani was killed it was going to be flushed by the guy I got it from plus its a $3 fish so I don't feel too bad. I figured it was a new fish and maby thats why. I woke up this morning and my electric blue got the same treetment I have had it with the Oscar since august. The other fish was new (within the last week) so I understand but why the electric blue all of a sudden. this is not the first time this has hapened he did it to a green terror a while ago.

That must be a large oscar and a small salvini! Is your oscar always aggressive or just from time to time?

Just from time to time like I said I understaind the salvani he was new 4in but the EBJD also about 4in was with him for 5 months I skiped a feeding but I do that from time to time to flush their systems and keep up water quality. He only bit the heads though so I don't know if that caused it.

I'd loose the Oscar if hes a pain the ***, the you have more space to add something else

first im going to tell you, you need an upgrade or loose some fish. that is way overstocked for a 110. The oscars killed the fish because he didn't have enough room. cichlids like their space. if you don't do something soon, your going to wake up with a lot more fish dead because either one of those new fish you added couple destroy an oscar in a heartbeat let alone all the others. the aggression was caused by lack of space.

^ Agreed, unless your planning on upgrading again soon. Stop adopting fish you don't have the space for. For now rearrange the decor to the new additions an opportunity to claim some territory.

I do plan an upgrade to something in the neighborhood of 200gal the tank is not overstocked yet most of the fish are still small. I would not have taken in those fish if I was not planning an upgraid and I could not stand to see the guy flush them could anyone of you not have taken in those fish if you were in my shoes. I had the capacity to care for the fish and knew I would have a bigger tank before they grew to large. By the way I have a good filter and do 50% weekly water change. I am adding a second filter and a uv sterilizer just for good measure.

Filtration doesn't matter as much as water changes. I do 2 40% a week. Plus not to be rude but you still are going to have aggression issues because that severum won't be as aggressive unless you have that rare crazy one. The carpintis, jag and blackbelt are on a whole other level of aggression. It's great you adopted, I would have done the same but I would get another tank for them.
