Crazy River Tank Idea

Ok. This is one of my many cooky ideas. Around this time every night, I have them.

So basically, it is a series of tanks in a row with plecos or hillstream loaches in the top tanks and a pool of cichlids at the bottom. A picture is worth a thousand words:

Suggestions?

Would it fail?

Tanks I have to work with:
55, 29, 29, 20, 20, 10, 10, 10, 10

I think the stand is the more difficult part, especially if all the tanks are already built.

YOu have a way to cover all those tanks? I'd hate it if fish got "jumpy"

yea now that he mentioned it. all the fish would end up in the last tank unless you had like a screen or something inbetween..

The hillstream loaches would probably prefer to be in the middle 20L because of the increased turbulence from the water cascade. Despite what is said about their max temperature, I kept some at 95 degrees (no choice) for a while.

The more 90 degree angles the more restriction in flow. All you need is two. Or none with flexible tube.

Impractical, but go for it.

it is like the stuff they have at live fish markets. so it might work.

The wall on each upper aquarium with the ramp would have to be shorter than the others or the water will just go over the top on all sides. otherwise seems a cool idea.
