Creek chub

There is a creek near my house,and I spotted creek chubs in there I would like to try keeping these guys,but it is hard to find care on them.How do you take care of these guys?

I throw them in a filtered nonheated tank. They are doing fine so far. 3 months into it. I'm trying to see if a bunch will last for winter.

They come towards me more than some of my other fish. Go figure.

You have to keep the tank covered well because everytime I catch them they jump out of the bucket I keep them in. I also put some in a little pond I have and they all jumped out, only a few suruvived.

Don't really need to know much. They will eat pretty much anything and grow big... Are you sure they are creek chubs?

Yes.I have caught a few before and have identified them.they also range in size in this creek from less than an inch to 5 inches.

That is a striped bass..... I have caught a 2 pounde chub before. They get to around 3 pounds...

Lol, if only they did. The creek chub was probably used for bait to catch that striped bass though.
