Creek Chubs?

They will eat just about anything.In the wild I have caught them up to 12 inches. But most average 4 to 8 inches.
They are very fast swimmers and although ive only seen them up to 9inches Petersons says they can get up to 12 inches long. I would go with a tank a 100 gallons or over, just because everytime I catch them or see them swimming its in the current and they dart around alot (a very fast and active fish).Northern Pike;4149709;4149709 said:
I just got some about 3 weeks ago. They eat just about anything. I started them out on live and frozen but now they gladly accept pellets as well. I have 4 in a 55 they seem quite happy. From my understanding they get around 12 inches but most are less, more like 8. I have a thread about them if you are interested just look under my statistics. It may have some info that may help. Oh and very important get a lid or you will have no chubs very quickly.
I tried a horny head as we call them here, but basically a chub, he was around 4inches moving constanly immediatley going for food. I put him in my redbrest tank, he didnt make it through the night he was in pieces by morn. Justmake sure you pick tankmates carefully with these guys. sfs
