I bought 8 this fish with oodinum 2 month ago in Poland. I cured them successfully. They are picky eaters, so I feed them mainly with artemia. They are behaving normally, but a lot of black pigment spots appeared on them.
Anyone had similar problem? I tried to google this, but found only little information.
I have this fish alone in 80 (325l) gallon tank, doing weekly 30% water change and have big external filtration. They are about 8cm long and growing very slowly (less than 1cm since I bought them). I am not 100% sure i have C. proteus, they are too small for identification.

My creni has spots like that every now and then. No big deal, at least that I can tell. I bought mine as Proteus as well, I'm sure it's not though. But it's a solid 7 inches now and the spots come and go
