Your Crenicichla acutirostris should top out at about 14" max. You should have done a little more research into them before you got it, as its never a good idea to do impulse buys with pikes unless you know a good bit about them. LUCKILY, you are cool in this case. Crenicichla acutirostris is probably one of the more laid back, mellow pikes available. Most people keep theirs with Geos and Satanoperca. Great disposition towards other fish in the tank. Don't have the normal kick your butt attitude that most pikes can have. However, they will stand up for themselves if getting beat up on, so watch that...they can really lay down the whoop if they want to.
The thing about acutirostris is that they are a VERY slender pike. They don't get thick like marmorata or lenticulata. Which means keeping them with large predators is really tricky, as they have a potential of getting eaten. . They have very interesting behaviors, and their colors are off the charts once they are fully mature. The juv. are quite striking themselves. They aren't as highly piscivourus either, but they will still eat small fish if they are available. Try to provide them with the best varied diet possible.
SOOO, in conclusion, haha, yes, your pike should get along superbly with the ornate in the 220gal...
