Howdy,
I have a mated breeding pair of Crenicichla alta. I initially bought them as a breeding challange. They are not much of a breeding challange as I now have over 150 fry closing in on 1" long. The female is again full of eggs and will most probably breed again in the next month if given some a basic setup.
So, I am selling these fish for pretty much what they cost me to obtain them: $100. For a mated breeding pair, I'd say it's a fair price. The female has a very purple/pink belly, which is caused by the color of the eggs inside of her.
Pickup only because these are large fish and I hate packing large stuff. If you don't live close enough, feel free to fly in at your cost and get them. I am in Wilmington, DE which is about 20 min south of Philadelphia.
This video shows the pair along with their fry about one month ago. You can also see my setup: thick layer of sand, driftwood, and filtration. Nothing much to it. Water is 130ppm, neutral pH, and about 73F at time of spawn, but I added a heater in the mean time and took temps to 76F or so.

If you look at my videos in YouTube, there are more of them that document the hatching process. They took about 10 days from eggs to free swimming. Yes, that's long, but apparenly it's expected.
They eat frozen food with much pleasure, mostly krill, bloodworms, mysis shrimp, and glassworms. The little ones are growing without any loss. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Anyone interested, PM me.
cheers,
