Ordered them as a pair, but wound up w/ 2 females as you can see, but they are really cool fish. Probably going to trade or sell one and give that tank to my cinctas!

Those two females are nicely thick, nothing skinny about them! Very feisty... seem to be aggravated by each other. Our similar female has a slightly different look - both in coloration and head shape. Many lugubris variants are out there, none more than the incredible Johanna Pike

I traded in the one on the left today. It seems once they got sexually mature they started squaring off, but they never did any damage to each other. I'm putting the cinctas in that tank NOW!
